PRESS RELEASE – For Immediate Release

DEREK“TheBandit's” WORLD OF DANCE – THE CLASSICS

DEREK“TheBandit” Richardson is, without question, a force and an institution when it comes to all things dance. Over the past decade his passion and commitment to the genre has opened the ears and eyes of mainstream South Africa to just what beats can do for you if you take the time to be beaten.

DEREK“TheBandit” Richardson took World Of Dance and turned it into something like a phenomenon for more than a decade. World Of Dance – The Classics documents and celebrates all it achieved both on and off the dance floor.

The World Of Dance compilation series has, over the years, evolved to encompass an entire series of classic albums; all filled to overflowing with the best that Derek was able lay his hands on. What you heard on his show, most often made it onto one of the many compilations he compiled over the years.

As the quintessential collectors item, World Of Dance – The Classics signals the end and celebration of an era many thousands of punters will hold dear. Each track represents a memory. Each track, 14 on disc one and 16 on disc two, all dictated in order of increasing beats, never mind popularity.

Sony Ericsson South Africa has partnered with DEREK”TheBandit to take this music experience even further with the W810i Walkman® offering. “The World of Dance CD launch and club tour is an ideal platform for demonstrating the Sony Ericsson mobile music experience”, says Samantha Naidoo, Channel Marketing Manager of Sony Ericsson Southern Africa. “Our Walkman® range has revolutionalised the mobile music experience globally and with the W810i consumers can now take their listening pleasure to another level”.

  1. Damn pesky exams, been keeping me busy the last few weeks! Anyway, firstly, wow for 009, oh my gosh, it was super sweet! Can’t wait to hear the new tune you did with Colin. Secondly, sweet tracklist for the Classics CD, looks like a tearjerker! So, when’s 010 hitting the scene! Need my fix! Later days…
